Opening Plenary Session

Overview and Problem Definition: Drawing on the data and analysis from the State of Housing Report, issued in January 2007, the opening plenary provided an overview of the housing situation in our region. The State of Housing Report evaluated housing trends and needs, and projected future demand particularly for affordable housing. In 2003, the Regional Housing Directors Council sponsored a regional housing conference titled “Creating Successful Mixed Use Communities.” The session also reported on progress made based on the Action Plan developed through that conference.
